Razor X-Games Demo Interview w/ Jake Hershey

Jake's very well spoken. He didn't go crazy, he just tried to put a good word in. I wish scooters had something like the X Games Real Street this year when people sent in video parts. Now THAT would make us look legit more than flairing quarters in a demo. Proving that we can put together a legit video part that resembles a skate part.

It's not about skating or BMX, it's about the image and vibe of the sport. Watching Kota and company do a couple of flairs on a shit mini ramp does nothing for our public image. The point is we would look way more awesome if we had the right course (wether it be a street set up or a creative park set up). It would be even more awesome if we got to do the "Real Street" X Games thing with the video parts but sadly I don't think we will see that day.

Also, I like Jake a lot, he did a good job.

That's fantastic, it's great that scooters have been getting out there more and more recently. I predict scooters will be in the X-Games within the next 5 years for sure, maybe even the next 3.

I was just saying that skate videos are much higher quality than most scooter videos so we should try to match the level, not become more like skaters.

Thank you Joe for posting this. Haven't been on SR in FOREVER. Thanks for the love guys. I don't want to sounds conceited because I'm not, but I feel I was right for this. For one, I have been in the sport since the beginning and have watched it grow to what it is now. Second, a lot of people refer to me as "the voice of scootering" due to my ability at announcing comps and demos. I just thank God for giving me every opportunity to go out and use my voice for good. For allowing me to travel so much. And for all the friends I have spoken with on here, met, and encountered in numerous situations. Thanks again everyone. Ill see you all at 4Seasons comp if you're going.
