In light of recent events, The Staten Island competition- to put it plainly -got fucked.
What:
soooo Myself & Matt Madera have organized a replacement even for all of you who were plannin on coming to the SI comp. THis event will be similar to the Hyphy Jam. We'll go from spot to spot, and whoever throws down the best tricks at each spot wins a prize.
Where:
Since most of the out of towners know where the Banks is, We'll be meeting there at 10:30 AM. we will stay at the banks until 11:15AM, after which WE ARE LEAVIN' YO' SORRY ASS BEHIND.
we will be taking the F train to ROOSEVELT ISLAND.
Little info to fill ya in:
Roosevelt Island is a tiny island in the east river, between midtown Manhatan, and Long Island City/Astoria, Queens.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY JAM PACKED WITH SPOTS, ALMOST NO KICKOUT ANYWHERE. Its a diamond in a pile of coal. everything you can think of is there- Banks, ledges, stairs, wallrides, manual pads, handrails, gaps... EVERYTHING. the island is so tiny, that you can easily hit everything on it and not even get lost. its a true gem.
