rubbing alcohol + bearings = not good.

It works for the time being, but alcohol ungreases stuff. my brothers friend works at some pen company, and they have lubricants for the machines there, and he gave me this bottle of teflon oil or something, i put my bearings in it overnight, and now my wheels spin fast.

Well your supposed to UNGREASE it then REGREASE it, so you just have pure oil to metal, the alcohal is getting all the dirt, sand, poop, road, dust and all that other gross stuff out.

i use wd40 alot...It really helps but smells bad

i agree with dreads WD40 smells good lol..

so should i soak my bearings in wd40 to degrease them cause i cant find a substitute for rubbing alchohol. maybe methelated spirits?

I used some sort of cleaning petrol, and I think that any organic-based cleaning fluid might be suitable (last time i've also used some sort of 'universal diluter' (right word?) with xylen and toluen, lol).
