Whoa..shocked when i saw this thread. Ill watch it now...and post my thoughts on it in like 41 minutes.
First montage was ridiculous. Hammers everywhere, and Alex's line alone was enough to keep me watching the video. Def. loved that.
Caprons part had some ridiculous tech stuff. Took hang 5s to another level, hang to bar out on the boss ledge at like 6.35...sooo good. Ridiculous trick combos, and scooter flip combos. Serious talent, loved his whole part.
Tanner like Capron, had some insane tech stuff in there. But it was mixed with ridiculous street. Some of the 180s he does are waayyy to big. Hes added a lot of style to his riding which makes this easily my favorite footage ive seen of him to date. When he goes over that pyramid to manual, then scooter fakie on the bank, to fakie scooter fakie back over the pyramid..i was just like..whoaa..And that last line, just showed some serious control..sooo good.
Jeremy and Chandler. It was good to see some of the more unknown names completely destroy like these two did. They are a prime example of what happens when younger kids get the priveledge of knowing and riding with some of the top riders in the So Cal scene. Some of the stuff they were throwing down was reallyy good. They are def. some of the futures top riders.
Broussard, Steadman, Christensen and Kenny and Matt montage was killing it. Had a little bit of everything, big tricks, tech tricks, smoothness, style, and ridiculous handrails by Matt.
Julios part was everything i expected it to be. Not sure what is with hispanic riders, but ive ridden with Javier Muro on more than one occasion. And after watching Julios part, i can pretty much say that they just dont fear anything. Julio was throwing tricks that people struggle to do period..down some of the biggest stair sets and gaps ive seen. His section is def. going to be pushing the street riders to hit bigger sets and bigger gaps. Good shiit.
Raymond Warner. Hearing the hype about Raymond over the past couple years, and seeing a low amount of footage. But what i saw back then def. left me wanting to see more. After watching his part, he deserves all that hype and more. Hes a complete rider. Not lacking in anything. And when your the first person to do The Buttercup, its expected to see some ridiculous trick combos. And he didnt dissapoint, last three air combos at the end were awesome. And who 360s over a standing person.. really.
Twans part was amazing. I find myself having to go back and rewatch clips, just to see how big the gap was he tricked. Because he makes the tricks look so effortless that you wouldnt think he would be throwing them over stuff so big. Ever since he hit the scene, you couldnt deny that he had some of the most solid style to touch a scooter. In some videos you gotta find the tricks that the rider actually does smooth. Well in Twans you gotta try and sit and find one that he actually does skecthy. And usually it wont happen. Some of the flairs and flips were soo boosted. And the street flair was awesome. And the flip the bank to bank. Really good stuff.
Bails sections are always nice, shows the people that watch the dedication that went to making the video, the blood and sweat that went into everything they got to see.
Overall the whole video was insane. Every single persons section was 90% of pure hammers. Big ups to Twan for releasing a video of this caliber on Scooter Resource, when it clearly is something worthy of only DVD status. Despite peoples thoughts on Twan, that was a big move. Easily one of the best Scooter videos ive seen since i started riding back in 2001.
