it said you could use a threaded headset with threadless forks and scs

If it did, that was likely a minor data error. I entered data for 142 products and I did my best to make sure they were accurate, but there may have been a typo. If you can let me know which forks and SCS you selected, I can check the data and correct it if necessary.

Thanks!

I did find a condition that makes it seem like they are compatible with each other with respect to aluminum bars. What it's really saying is that each of those parts individually is compatible with aluminum bars, but that's confusing. I'll work on correcting that issue. Thanks for letting me know! :)

sorry I meant ICS, i entered TSI Thom cats and addict clamp with a threaded headset, it said it would work with ICS

Hmm...that might be a data glitch too. I'll look at that. Thank you for checking it out and letting me know about issues. The code and data behind this is really complex. :)

If you just read the chart it makes better sense reading Left to Right on each part. Start with the Threaded Headset.

The only "Glitch" is with the Threaded Headset and then under ICS it has a check mark for "YES". Although it can work with ICS it is redundant compression.

then look at the Fork row:
Thom cat:
HIC-Yes
SCS small-YES
SCS-YES
ICS-Yes
IHC-NO
TLC-NO
Threaded-NO

The columns are meant to aggregate those setups that are compatible, but I think the Aluminum Bars column is just really confusing. Just because all the parts are compatible with aluminum bars doesn't mean that they are compatible together. That part is confusing. I might just get rid of the Aluminum Bars compatibility column.

You right, Ed, you can run ICS with a threaded setup, but I think I need to remove that as a valid option. There are several options that you can make work that I've excluded for simplicity. I need to do that with ICS/threaded.

Thanks again for everyone's help checking out the new tool. I really hope this can help some kids and parents who are trying to figure out the complex world of compression compatibility. :)

Now here in this Pic it is just the Copy and it reads

"The parts you have selected are:"
con-copycopy.jpg

and if you look at the 1st line it reads
"Not compatible with HIC"

but this doesn't say which part doesn't work with HIC

That's intentional. The matrix shows the individual parts compatibility and the text below shows and aggregation of the collective. That is, of all the parts you specified, they will not work in concert with this (HIC, SCS, IHC, TLC,....) type of compression.

ahh ok- I knew I was reading it incorrectly

This is good feedback though, Ed. I really appreciate your comments. I'll see if I can modify the text in a way that makes this more clear. Thanks for helping out and documenting this. :D

Okay, I've fixed the ICS/threadless headset issue and I've removed the Aluminum Bars column because it was confusing. I'm contemplating removing the MGP Headtube column as well. Any thoughts?

Oh, and I added a more descriptive title to the compatibility messages.
