scootering and highschool

I'm starting highschool at garfield next week and there are a lot of skaters who hang out at this awesome street spot by there. I was wondering if I should ride my scooter to school and hang out there, keep my scootering a secret or, maybe start bmxing.

this thread is stupid. do what YOU want, not what an online forum tells you to do. do what YOU want, because you like it. who cares what people think.

Super queer.
well if its going to cause drama like it did at MY high school. don't bother bringing it. There's a difference to be embarrassed to scoot and keeping drama out of your everyday high school life.

Yea same here. people say sick scoot, everyone wants to ride it. the bmx'ers think its cool since its like mini bmxing. the skaters are just stuck up retards about it. my school is full of skaters who talk like theyre ryan schekler or something and how i always get in the way of their skating at my local. they just call the cops since scooters arent allowed.

Yo dude, I'm a senior in high school and I first started riding when I was a freshman like you. Don't ever trip off of what people think of you. If you want to get cool with them for riding a scooter, you have to earn their respect. It won't just come to you. You gotta do stuff that will get their respect like gnarrly tricks ya know? Hope this helps freshman;) Aha

people will talk shit because You do something different then most of the population of your highschool. you get through it the best you can. My personal approach is to not bring it up but if someone starts saying shit defend it
