Scooters on airplanes

So i'm flying to Vegas soon, and was hoping to take my scooter. Does anyone know about the "Rules" about taking them? On instagram i've seen people with them at airports so I was assuming you can take them as a carry on... Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks

you check them in the same way you check in your bags.
than after the flight you pick it up of of the bag carousal.

i usually put mine into my suitcase, feels kinda sketch just having it go through with no protection and it could get taken easily

could just put it in your suitcase if it fits, if not then i guess a bike bag would work

Dunno what its like in America but in Australia some airlines allow you to check your scooter in separate as oversized baggage for free and others charge you like 70 bucks to check stuff into oversized baggage. I'd check the website of the airline that you're travelling with. I normally just take my bars and wheels off and just put them into my bag.

Does anyone know if you put your scooter in the elyts or 841 backpack, they allow it on planes? Cause I've heard that, but I haven't got a 100% yes or no answer and i don't want my scooter to have to end up being checked if I can just carry it with me.

I've done it but that doesn't mean it will work every time. I put it in an elyts bag and it worked once, and another time I put it in the bag and at security they made me bring it back and check it.

Take your bar off put it in your carry on, then if they don't let you through security with it they'll gate check it. If they gate check it you don't have to pay because you're already past the luggage area and shit, thats what I always do. Your shit also has less chance of getting lost that way. When i went once they made me check my bars but not the rest of my scooter.......

My moms a flight attendant and my dads TSA and i fly A LOT. I bring my scooter pretty much every trip i go on just incase theres a spot or something. I usually just take my bars off and wrap a ton of saran wrap around my bars and deck until its tight then you can just fit it under your seat or in a overhead compartment. I can always bring that and my backpack as my carry on. Just make sure you take any allen's out of your backpack when going through tsa you can bring them on but when they go through the X-ray they look like knives.
