Solid Headset (problem)

Now, if you haven't had experience with solid headsets dont bother replying... Anyways my Solid currently is not spinning well i have cleaned it and greased it and shit. But its is making a disgusting motion and stopping at a certain point of the 360 degree rotation, Skewtar Mcgee says its a bent fork i havent tried replacing the fork (cause i don't have a spare one) so yeah.

Solid Bikes Headsets should not be used on scooters. They rust, they always come loose, they're just a pain in the ass. Get a Cane Creek.

Um no. I rode a solid headset for years before I got my Chris King and I still use it for a backup scooter. You pretty much HAVE to use it with threadless forks and a compression system though and it is one of the best.

As for your problem, your fork tube is either bent or your headset cups are not pressed in all the way or are not pressed in straight or both.

Man, I could never good it working nicely. That weird compression ring that came with it kept coming loose and led to the headset shaking. Honestly, it really isn't very smooth either way compared to a Cane Creek S8 or 110.
