Something I do not enjoy hearing

Is when people bash on older riders. I'm 19 turning 20 in march, does this mean I should just have quit when I turned 18?

A lot of pro riders are adults as well. Buff, Murphy, Holm, Coedie? Terry? Any of these names ringing a bell?
Should they quit?

Does that mean there is an age cap on scooters, but not any other sports?

If we really want to be recognized, we need to drop the whole notion that scooters are for kids. It's horrible to think that people in OUR OWN community think that scooters are for kids, and you should "grow up" and quit when you turn 18.

It makes no sense to have an age limit on any sport, you don't see skaters, bikers, or bladers quit because they're "too old" do you?

It's not me. I'm talking to everyone. Why should there be an age cap on our sport, but not on other sports? If we can't make our own riders shed the "kiddy toy" image, surely, we cannot progress as a sport.

although, the opinions of "black sheep" doesn't bother me really. It's just stupid to think you should quit something fun due to age.

Cj, it's not just because of Chris. I've heard this a lot in skateparks and even by other riders.

Scooter riding is just another extreme sport, theres nothing about scooters that make them any more of a kids toy then skateboards and bikes. Nothing about scooters are "gay" either. It's an object made to do tricks on.

I think it's pretty cool that older people still ride. I basketball players can play till their like 35, scooterers can at least go to 25
