The Future Of Scooting.

What is it?

I reckon eventually, After Scooting has been accepted into the Dew Tour, etc. That someone will start scooter 'racing' and then that will get an audience and go from there. When something gets big, everyone extends off it and does something or other.

I'm bored out of my brain here :(

Luke, there hasn't been many threads on what we think it will be, more threads on how to get there.
Personally; i believe it's still going to be a good 10 years until we're more recognized as anything more than adults riding kiddy toys.
We're always going to have hate from trendy skaters and bmxers, but some of you might notice the respect most riders get from serious skaters/bikers.

Most places I go, Most other riders like on boards and bikes don't bitch and moan too much. They might pass the occasional comment, But more of a sly joke than anything else.

But I think if some planners of competitions and stuff have any brains, They'll start looking into Scooting. Might not be as big as Bmx, etc now, But its still got a fair sized fanbase.

Compared to the BMX fanbase, ours is nothing.
Just saying that.
We have enough Pro riders to have a decent comp; but the support wouldn't be all that great.

I got myself banned.
Comps like the AST and stuff would be to hard, i mean, you would need coedie and stuff and riders from all the world to go to all these stops would be preety big and dope if it did tho.

But when riders are entering the AST, Then odds are they better get used to huge trips and I'm sure 90% of people with the chance to go would.

As for the Scooter/Bmx fanbase comparison, I know its an absolutely huge difference. But what better way to increase our numbers than entering tours?

the tour exec's aren't gonna just let scooters in to make them bigger...they let them in when they're big, when they know its worth it. Having scooters in the dew tour would be a complete waste of time and money for alli/mtn dew.

hopefully the RTG tour will keep getting bigger.
more companies will be able to fly riders out to comps, maybe even do roadtrips.
in a year or so there'll be more custom completes that people can buy.

i just realized, you can now have a 100 percent aftermarket scooter, one with zero stock parts. wow. i didn't think that would come so soon.

The future of scooters includes jet propelled scooters, doing tricks miles above the ground, and no tailwhips/scooter flips (because obviously that would mess up the jet and which way it is pointing).

Scootering will eventually go big, but aaron is right. Its gonna take quite awhile for it to get into a big scene like bmxing has.
