they're out of stock?

i'm wanting to order my orion combo but freestyle depot is apparently out of stock of the brake, the new 83 headtube, and the 4.5 deck? and i can't find anywhere else that has it with the new head tube, should i just call em and find out? or should i just say fuck it and buy an aos v2 or a district?

Well if you really want the Orion I would definitely call them up first, and if they don't don't I'd do one of these 2 things:
Wait to buy an Addict that should be coming out this weekend
Or buy a district v2i, they're cheap, integrated, come in different colors, and are a really nice, light, strong deck

Yeah...I just went through all that.
I couldn't find a single 5"x21" Orion Combo anywhere in the US...
So, I ended buying one overseas (ScooterHut) with the old style headtube, then had to buy the new style 83* headtube from Freestyle Depot. I just got it from them last week.
But to recoup the money i had to spend on the extra headtube, i just traded a buddy who had a new 4.5" Orion deck plate for sale. I will bolt the old style head tube to the 4.5" deck and sell it as a combo. This will pay for the extra headtube i had to buy.
So after the bs i had to go through to get an Orion deck, I would just say get something else until (if/when) Proto gets another batch done.
It is a badass deck though.

At woodward Andrew said they've pretty much stopped production because they're in the process of moving into a new shop, Things should be back to normal soon if you really want a proto deck just wait or buy one used

I feel super lucky right now, pretty sure I bought the last 5x21 off FD in December.

Proto decks are on another level but if you have to compromise get a V2i or an Addict when they drop! Personally I'm not into the blunt decks, they are just too small.

IF you can't get that, I would try to get ahold of one of the old TSI flow master 4.5, they have an 83 hta as well.

I haven't got to ride it a lot yet but the little bit that i have....Its fucking unbelievable!
I have been riding a Smirnoff Reventon 5.25"x22"...which i thought i loved...but compared it, the Orion feels better in almost every way. The Orion is only slightly smaller (5"x21") but feels WAY lighter. I am going to take them to the LBS and get them weighed. Its like a night and day difference and i don't understand why, but this Orion feels incredible.
One thing i have noticed is that the Orion deck is no where near as ridged as the Reventon...which, as far is i can tell, is a good thing because i have noticed that it absorbs big hits and lands much smoother than the Reventon (both with Proto Sliders).
So far i love it!

Oh...not to mention "looks"... the Orion has got to be the sickest looking deck out there:cool:
