Threaded headset help!!!!!!!!!!!

i just got my RUP black label and i CANNOT tighten my headset perfectly. my dad tried to fix it and he used to be a bike mechanic and he couldnt. is there anything i can do thats cheap?

You can use threadless headsets, you just tighten it with the top locknut you already have. If your dad is a bike mechanic he should know how to install them properly without damaging it.

Hit up ebay for a FSA or a cane creek, you can get them for like <$30. I got a thread-less cane creek for 28 bucks and it still runs like new after about a year. Although I do gut it, clean it and re-grease it every month or so.

Alright here's what you do.

Buy a district pro sealed headset off of nolimit scooters.
When it comes, install it and crank the top nut down until the forks barely make a full rotation. Like a full 360 degrees is all you need.
Then put the bars on right snug against the lock nut so it doesn't have room to loosen, and the weight of the bars will counter the tightness of the locknut.

There you go.
