Threading a Fork?

Hey guys,
I've got a threadless fork that I want to make threaded,
anyone know a way on how to do this?
If I just clamp and screw a lock nut on will this create a thread?

thing is i can't use it threadless, it's a district fork

naw you will need to put the fork tube on a lathe and create athread with a special type of gouge or whatever they are called.

Unless you have a lathe like he^ said, you can't do it.
