threadless headset

^ LOL that was good.

From what I understand you just whack em in your headtube and slip the fork in, then just tighten the top bolt from your stock headset onto it, or if you have custom bars just clamp them on as hard as possible.

Your a dickhead, it doesnt matter if you have one peice or stock or buffs etc.

Ok what you gotta do is change the headset race on the bottom of your fork and put the new threadless one on.
Take out your old headset cups and press the new cups into your headtube,
(bottom cup goes in bottom, top tup cup goes in top, (for all you stupid people).
Put your bearing on the fork with the bearings facing up and put the fork in the headtube.
Get the top bearings and put them over your fork in the cup with the bearings facing down.
On top of those bearings put the top headset cap (and compression ring if there is one)
Then take that nut that was on the stock fork (the one without the bearing dust cover)
tighten the nut until your forks are without play, but still spin ok.
If you tighten it and it feels rough or really tight take off the fork and make sure you have done all the above steps right.
Once you have tightened your fork so it is without play and your headset is smooth.
Take your bars slide them onto your fork so that your bars are touching the compression nut.
Clamp your bars so that they are inline with your fork wheel, check your fork is still without play and it spins freely.
Make sure everything is good and then go ride bitches.
(NOTE: It is important to regularly check your headset is tight, loose headsets can lead to ovalised cups which will fuckk your headset)
Hope this clears things up a bit ?
