Threshold Question

I have been hearing about people grinding the the welds from doing smiths. Is this at all a problem, or this not likley to happen.

Everytime you ride wax both your deck and the ledge you're grinding on and it should last you a while

the smith welds are good to grind away, it makes it easier, you just want to make sure the welds that make it different from a v1 dont grind down

I dont want a deck that I know will crack from doing smiths. Is this something to worry about.

i have seen one broken threshold(v2), the crack started near where smiths are done, on this page there is a broken v1 and v2 http://www.theridewire.co/forum/showthread.php?33-Your-Broken-Scooter-Parts/page2
