turn downs-look downs

The only reason for the whole turndown/lookback thing is 'cause a turndown air is very diffrent to a lookback air.

Lets say you ride GOOFY and air to the LEFT. If you were to do a turndown that would be a TURNDOWN AIR.
If you were GOOFY and air to the RIGHT and did a turndown that would be a LOOKBACK air.

So to sum up. If your goofy, and spinning left on anything, its a turndown. If your spinning right its a lookback, if your regular its just the opposite.

I hope to neveer see this question agian.

thanx, thats what i thought but my freind was giving my alot of crap about my turndowns so i needed to prove him wrong!!!!

Frontside air/transfer/spin + turndown = lookback
backside turndown airout, tweaked properly = lookdown

I haven't seen anyone actually applying the lookdown concept on a scooter though. It's a vert BMX trick made in the 80s, you air like an air to fakie, turn yourself in mid air (looking down) and then land forwards.

in bmx im pretty sure people first started doing lookbacks so when they started doing lookbacks fs or w/e turndowns are they called them lookdowns and eventually lookdowns turned into turndowns

i dont think its that confusing, way back when people in bmx called turndowns lookdowns and it sort of just evolved into turndown, because i know as recently as this past x games they called a few turndowns lookdowns

its the same thing, just a different name
