Unlucky situations?

Post some unlucky situations that happened to you when riding or not, cause what happened to me is just riddiculous:

So today I finally got my dirt scooter ( http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=110335956 ), spent some time taking off the front brake, locking the folding mech, putting on a griptape, changing bars etc. Then went to the gas station to pump up the wheels. Then my brother took his scooter and we headed out to local dirt jumps to test it. After a few minutes I hear some weird noise coming from the back wheel but I ride on, then I jump off a curb and poof! flat tire. I examine the wheel and I see something like this stuck in it:

Obvliusly it wasnt gold, it was some god damn piece of shit that was lying on the ground. Its so riddiculous that Im not even slightly mad about this, even though I consider myself generally an unlucky person.

On numerous occasions, I have went to my park and after the first or second trick my scooter breaks in someway.

One time, I went to this big indoor park, and there was a line for this big box jump I was doing, so when it was my turn, I start going and this biker comes out of nowhere and hits his front peg on the front of my scooter. It ends up breaking my wheel ( I didnt bring a spare and we were like 10 minutes into the session), but it was really funny because the biker fell down this huge step up gap and started swearing at me.

Another time, it had been raining for about 2 weeks, this was late April-early May. I go to the Park after everything finally dries, about 3 or 4 tricks in, I hit my ankle really hard and I got a huge bruise, so I was out for the rest of the day.


And Pete, I am just wondering because I dont know anything about dirt scooters, but what is the difference between that and a normal scooter besides the wheels?

uh, in RI, me and ryan whetstone had made plans to ride on saturday i think or soemthing, but we cancelled since it was raiing that morning and sunday was supposed to be really nice, so saturday rained for like 2 hours then got BEAUTIFUL from like 10 a.m. on....so im like bleh oh well, sunday comes along, i get to the park where were supposed to ride and after like 10 minutes it starts raining. so i leave and i get a call from him the next day, it turns out that like 20 minutes after i left he got there and it had stopped raining and was dry...wtff

besides that teh worst is like my scooter breaking the one time i land back on the deck on a quad a few years ago

i broke my fork when i first met jesse and made an ass of myself by not riding the rest of the day. :(

On a trip to mount gambeir me and josh mclean, BOTH snapped our forks in the first 10 minutes of ridding, we rode still but only on about 2 threads of the fork haha... So crazy cause i had never even broke a fork before that day...Ahhh i wish he still scooted..

Broke two wheels in like an hour on the box jump at motion skatepark yesterday, decided not to do it after that lol. Scooters allways break at inconsiderate times

oh yea, everytime i go to a park i start doing good just riding my ass of start to land trick bam my wheel breaks im frustrated throw my scooter and wait for higgi to get done.

I got myself banned.
One time me and Casey went to the park, my deck snapped in like 15 minutes... we drove home and grabbed another deck, than like 25 minutes later Caseys snapped and he had to go get one haha. Good thing we had his car. Oh and last night after the park we went out to his car and it wouldnt start, and its been sitting in the parking lot since, good thing i had my dads car with me :)

i can really relate to this... it was the first time i had been to my now closed local in about half a year and then first 5 mins i air over this 3ft 1/4.... half way through the air my stem snapped and messed me up... the worse thing is i had 2 wait for 4 hours for a ride home.....

I was at the local park and I had jumped into the banks a few times, and then I jump in but right as I jump my front wheel it a rock or something, making it go sideways and me go sliding full speed down the bank. It was the lamest crash in the world and it skinned my arm, but at least no one saw.

yea my stem snapped during an air over spine it really hurt as i kind of flailed and landed on my back on top of the spine bit

once upon a time i went to the skatepark for 2 sessions (2 hours a piece) and during the first session i broke the dropouts on my scoot, five minutes before the second session started. and i already bought it so theres was no way to get the money back and i had to stay cuz my mom was also bringing home a friend so we couldnt leave. and i would just borrow his scoot when he got tired.

edit: and there was no spare and im not old enough to drive

my god thinking what to write for this thread makes me realise how many scoots i've broken!!!

I remember like 2 months ago my steer tube snapped on spine and loads of people laughed at me :(

So i went home got a new one and on my second air of the spine when i got back my fork snapped!!! then i felt reallllllyy retarded lol
