he probably buys crappy bearings then. my bones super reds have lasted for almost 5 months and i mostly ride stair sets and drops.

I've been using Modus Blacks for 9 months. Cleaning and re-lubing often is the key. They were 20 bucks (AUD) for 8, I'm still using the first 4. They roll just as fast as the super reds I had before, and they are still smooth. Not a dot of rust.
