As i stated in the YOUR SCOOTER thread, i recently aquired a viper deck.
Basically, no matter what you do, you can't simply bolt it, as the foldy is pretty straight forward.
Pull the knob, and push it down. Done.
Problem is how to get it not to wobble or fold.
That's a slightly upgraded version of the viper scooter. Same company, same foldy. Sort of like an old a.
I made a simple mod for this
Materials needed:
Washers/bearings
two 2.5" to 3" 5/8ths bolt. Or any bolts really, i have an excess of 5/8ths though.
one drill, with a 5/8ths drillbit.
Here's the basic idea:
Take out the bottom bolt, and replace it with one of the aforementioned bolts.
tighten the hell out of it.
Drill another hole in it, north west of the first hole, far enough so the nut won't hit the other one.
Protip: You need to apply alot of pressure, you're drilling through 5 solid slabs of ~4mm thick aluminum.
Here's what it should look like in the end:
And it doesn't wobble at all
Probably not too useful, as it's not too common. But whatever
