u would probably be better off bolting you reinforcemetns but welding you cossbar which i am assuming it is would be good and save u cutting ur hand on bolts and worrying bout your bar moving

Personally i wouldn't reinforce with alluminum if it's on the bottom of the deck cause as you grind it just wears down whereas steel may be a bit heavyer but it will pretty much never wear down from grinds!

But can you weld Steel to aluminium? Oh yeah, you think you can.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, if you snap the deck the reinforcements might snap with it. You won't know until you try it though.

I own SR.
Bad idea.

And yes it will weaken the deck. If you have an old deck you just want to try it and mess around with go for it but don't do it on anything good.

they are 4m thick, Alex
i got them off my dads bike and cut the bulge out of the middle

the guy is going to add some things to the deck to strenghten it, Andrew

you wont wreck your deck my welding your reinforcements on. its kinda similar to bolting (in a way of bending) your pining the bar to the side of the scooter, in 2 or more places, and the scooter relies on the strength of the bar to stop bending your scooter, so if it were to bending, that means the bar will have to bend, the exact same to bolting.

if you get the welding right (no melting straight through) and have nice strong welds where it wont get worn from grinding, i think it will be perfect maybe even better because you don't need to worry about it coming undone.

It was reinforced the shittyway. If you notch the welds it would make it so much better.

Like on the pro model where the fold mech is. it isn't a straight weld it is notched so if one weld gives the whole thing just doesn't go.
