welding scooter bars taller help !

has anyone ever welded bars taller because my protos are 22 high and need them 24 tall so i was planning on bringing them to a welding shop . will the bars snap easily after being welded or no. if anyone has ever done this please comment below.

you can taper them to hic, a lot of people do it and it works great
