What Keeps YOU Riding?

Lately I have just been so burnt out on riding, I don't get the same feeling I used to. I feel like I'm stuck on tricks, I don't get to ride as much anymore since my homie had to have surgery and I don't have my license yet, there is next to no scene out here, and idk, I just don't get hyped much more like I used to. So my question is, is, what keeps you riding? Maybe I'll be able to find something to help me out. List any videos or anything in general. Thanks guys.

To get out of my house or to just let off steam. Lastly is to just learn new stuff and feel accomplished if you learn something new.

Lol you don't need a "scene" to ride. I ride alone because I don't know anybody my age who rides all there is are a bunch of little kids on madd gears that I try to distance myself from as much as possible. I just go to the park and try to progress on my own. As for being stuck on tricks, just don't try for that trick anymore. It'll come to you eventually, or you''ll come back to it later. Just do what's challenging but fun, and if it's no longer fun try another trick. I mean yeah you're going to fall on every trick you try and no trick will come without determination and practice, but if you pick up your scooter and start to think of tricks as homework assignments that you have to get done then that's not fun.

Biggest problem for me is not getting hyped on any videos nearly as much as I used to. I mean some are nice but rarely to I get the same rush that I did from watching Opus or Catalyst for the first time.

A while ago I got bored of riding and I kinda forced myself to ride like once a week, then I started listening to music when I ride and it made me want to ride everyday.

Befriend some skaters, I've never had anyone who I've ridden with on a regular basis who scooters since like the fourth grade. Just try shit that you have fun doing, watch videos of people who look like they're having fun, and take some lessons from them, but don't try to copy anyone's style, your own is your own. You'll come into it once you work hard enough for it, never fully though, you're always growing.

ive never really been too hyped on most scooters videos. most of them just suck and arent even fun to watch. i probably watch just as much bmx videos as i do scooter videos. then if something catches my eye, i'll go out and try it. i mostly just put in some earphones and ride my local school by myself. i also ride with c poe and stuff like every other week or so, so i look forward to that. idk, i just hate school and work is so boring, so i look forward to riding, even if i dont learn anything new everytime i ride.

yeah same. i actually think i watch more skating and bmx videos than i do watching scooter videos because the only people i like to watch generally are the ones that like never put out any footage, then when i see there videos i get super hyped.

the fun of it, i have never really thought of quitting when riding, i have been forced to stop when i have broken my arm broken my leg and then at one point when i was living in sweden i could not ride for 6 months due to snow and no indoor to go to, i really appreciate being able to ride and try to as much as i can. sometimes riding is more fun when i just land everything first go and sometimes i have a bad session and feel like your goin nowhere but i still enjoy it. when i first started i always rode on my own outside my house, then at the skatepark there is normally at least one other scooter rider and if not i know some of the bmx and skaters there who are chill, in sweden i had a skater friend who i knew really well and riding then was really fun when i could actually ride, so yeah i really dont see myself quitting and i say just make it as fun as possible, get motivated by watching cool videos and maybe try a new aspect of riding if you have not, like certain types of park and street or even try taking flat to a new level with fakie and manual tricks etc. there should be something to light up your motivation and i think you might regret quitting in the long run

Its addicting. Just the riding for fun and doing what i think is cool. I ride all day and try things and as soon as i leave the park im thinking about lines or tricks i should have done and that i will try next time.
Progression is just an added thing that makes me want to come back and ride more

not sure, its just fun, I eat sleep and breathe scootering. I have no one to ride with within 2 and a half hours, no spots, no filmer, no parks, but I just love riding and its all I do, like everything I do, I try to bring my scooter into it, I think im just addicted
