What is everyone's problem with VertX? Is it their awesome parts? Is it their amazing customer service? Or is it their affordable prices?
Honestly you guys confuse me. A company comes out with an owner that is an active part of the community and sends dozens of completes around the WORLD to riders to test out the improved parts before deciding to open up the store to the public, paying thousands of dollars to ship these completes in return for nothing but feedback on how the parts could be made better. Yeah, they look like Lucky parts. But the truth is, Lucky parts look like VertX parts. VertX designed these parts, and changed every single one of them (besides bars maybe) to improve them before releasing them to us. And these parts are being released for significantly less than Lucky was selling them for, despite having much more R&D going into the parts before their release, and being the same high quality.
Apart from that, just judging from what VertX has done so far, the whole "oh they're trying to sell Lucky parts to make a quick buck" excuse is complete bullshit. If they were trying to make a quick buck, they wouldn't have given thousands of dollars worth of completes out around the world. Kieran's complete had to go through Customs, and he received a notice for about 100GPB (around 180 USD) because Customs marked the cost of the package wrong. Karl picked up the tab and payed it himself. He made absolutely no money from the complete, he paid for the cost of making the parts, the shipping cost (which was another 70 on its own), and the cost of Customs.
Everyone that has dealt with VertX has received amazing customer service, including myself. I purchased a v2 SMX and an oversized clamp, which Karl let me purchase regardless of the fact that he had not yet posted them up on the site. When I did not receive the package for another couple days, I messaged him on here. He messaged me back and told me that UPS was not able to locate the package. Despite the fact that this doesn't even mean they lost it, Karl is now sending me another package overnight, and sending me wheels for free. I have never dealt with a company as focused on customer satisfaction as VertX.
So, please stop the unnecessary and undeserved hate on VertX. They are an extremely legit company that has unfortunately fallen victim to circumstance and an extremely ungrateful and unwelcoming entrance to the scootering community.
