all those are, is painted tapered brass pipe. you can get them at home depot for like 1 dollar

cut the end of a broom stick,shove it in your bars, cut a pro mod crossbar and slide it over the broomstick
and the put your grips on, what do you know? you have bar extenderrs

i feel like the broom stick would snap really easily.

why would a broom stick snap "easily"?
a broom stick of that thickness wouldn't snap easily at all, i mean how hard can you possibly land that your bars take that much of an impact?

the brooms that i have are made of very thin aluminum....

use a wood one.. those are very hard to snap..
