Best trick: Will be 3 tries at your best trick. Possible change: Since there was some controversy last year because apparently KC was going to be doing a barspin into his 50-50 stall and he won it with just a 50-50 stall, something that we might do this year is for people entering best trick you write down what you will be trying. That way the judges will know beforehand, and can judge accordingly. Let me know if you think this is a good or bad idea, because the choice is ours.

Announcing: The same person you saw last year(Nate), who you told him what song you wanted and he was calling out the things the best he could, will be back next year. He does a good job announcing regularly and the only real problem is he does not know the names of tricks. I talked with Virginia and she said it could be possible for someone (a rider who knows trick names) to have a microphone along side Nate to call out the tricks and whatnot. If anyone would like to volunteer to do this it would help a lot for the comp. Last year that was one of the main things we heard... "We need an announcer that knows the name of tricks.".... And with this there can be someone there.

Format tweaks: a few changes to the format are going to be happening. Nothing drastic and it should make things better, full format release and whatnot when we get a flyer made.

Sponsorship: If you, or anyone you know would like to contribute to this competition in any way we would love it. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

So if we can get some responses and opinions it would be great. Thanksss everyone.

i definitely think an announcer that knows the tricks is a neccessity, having kc and that other kid at TIC that knew the tricks was SO much better than last year when the biker was announcing and making up trick names.. not only does it look and sound better to everyone watching and people watching footage, but it probably helps judges like if tehy cant see the person but they hear what they did, they can give them a more accurate score. ohh, and definitely good fair judges, they seemed pretty fair this year, unlike last yaer when ONLY locals won pro. but yea, good judges and a good announcer

ps: i guess ill put it out there since i got a lot of comments at TIC, i am pretty short (~ 5'6"-7") probably every other person i stood next to at the comp was like "wow your a lot shorter than i thought" also, yea, my grips are probably the worst ones anyones riding.

bk AND levon are going? Jesus christ. I need to bug my parents more about this. Haha its mostly up to my dad, but my mom is 100 % for it. Ill probably be there, but im not saying for sure yet. But i think someone announcing the tricks would be awesome, and have you made an XW roll call list yet? I wanna know whos going.

I want to come up so bad this year.

Does anyone know what the estimate cost would be coming from about 7 hrs away?

That depends on the gas price, mpg of your car, and how fast you go. Plus hotel/staying at someones house. But it cant be that much.

I definately want to go to this. If I'm not gonna be riding, then at least watching because I'm closer to XW than I thought and it seems like it's gonna be a sick ass comp!

On the topic of the best trick idea, I think that the classic format would work best (where the rider goes and we don't know their trick beforehand.) I don't really know how it has worked before, but is it only the judges that determine the best trick? Because if it is, then I think the viewers should get involved too, because what if you have a biased judge? (ie. someone who thinks that scooterflip tricks are for whores, or backflip combos are overrated, etc.) Again, I don't really know how it worked before so correct me if I'm wrong haha..

The judge sheet was like this basically : Style, Amplitude, Difficulty.... each one worth 100 points.. the judges score the best trick in those 3 respects and the highest score wins.

edit: and thank you for being i think the only one to reply to the issues i put in the first post, the choice is ours fellas! What do you guys think will work best?
