Ive been using Adobe Premiere 6 for a couple years now. I tried pro, but didn't really like it. Im gonna switch to it once CS3 comes out in a couple of weeks though.

Ive been looking really really hard for a better program for my editing apart from windows.... it doesnt take my file type correctly, and it always comes out real bad quality

I used to have Ulead media studio pro 7 it wa the first editing program I ever used its pretty easy to learn and has some pretty good features I recommend it for anyone thats wants do something that doesnt look bas (wmm) and dont have the time to learn vegas or premiere.

I use avid express pro. It's much cheaper if you get an academic discount.

I use iMovie, nothing sepcial but it gets the job done.

i use imovie to but when i go to export it it has the shittiest quality ever and i tried full quality but it won't upload on any sites like that.

what do you do?

Export it at full quality, than use a compression programs. I can't think of any for mac except Sorenson Squeeze, maybe Alex knows a free one though.

dont use any of them though because i dont edit vids anymore

you could try visual hub..I watched a clip converted to wmv using i and it was really good quality (it was 1 minute and only 2.4mb)

i use movie maker but after i add like 6-7 clips it gets all slow and freezes up

I stepped up to Premiere Pro 2 the day i got my camera so i can edit the 24p properly. Gonna have some footage tomorrow if i get the time to cap.
