Buying scooter, may be in wrong section?

Hey guys! Before I am currently in the market for a legit scooter. Right now, I am riding a 10 year old Razor Scooter, haha. I have been riding for a little bit now, maybe a month, I can do some tricks, but nothing crazy. But I have no knowledge in Scooters what so ever. I was wondering if you guys could lead me into the right direction as far as a good scooter.

I would really like one with big, wide bars.

One more question, right now my bars are really low, would it make a difference in performance riding higher bars?

Sorry guys, I am a complete noob. Any help would be appreciated.

u should get a razor pro off amazon for like 50 bucks, then put a trolly bar in the crossbar thing, that would be the cheapest and easiest

The ultra pro comes in two different bar sizes, the ultra pro low is 14 wide by 21 tall. The other ultra pro is 18 wide 26 tall.

Oh okay, whats the advantages of higher bars? I ride pretty low bars now, and it hurts my back, will it help by a considerable amount if I get bigger bars? As far as tricks go?

I ride all street, by the way.

hey dude, my suggestion to you is dont think wide bars are cool. i ride 16 wide and thats fine with me but i also love riding 14 wide. get an ultra pro, its a one piece deck, reinforced forks, 21 high 14 wide one piece bars, and some wheels all rolled up in one. best value for your money if your a beginner. remember only get bars wide enough that you can still barspin on them :) hahahaha jk.

Haha! Well I acutally can barspin with my scooter right now, but I feel as though I am going to brake it in half, yah know? I think I will get the Ultra Pro. Can anybody link me up with one?

Well I looked at the Ultra Pro, it says a maximum weight of 140 pounds, I weigh about 150. Basically...if somebody has a scooter then would like to sell, I would buy rather quickly.

why do you want the widest biggest bars?

if you are riding a 10 year old scooter, its probably an old A or an old A knockoff. assuming it is, and you've been riding for 1 month, i think that you do not have the durability need to get anything better than a razor pro. infact, razor pros are STRONGER than ultra pros (just plain deck once reinforced) due to the shit headtube. just get a razor pro. also, because you are a "complete noob" as you stated, you are most likely riding 12 wide stock bars. you do NOT want to make a change from 12 wide to 20+ wide. you will lose everysingle one of your tricks, and just plain riding becomes tedious. so just get a razor pro, and grips. you do NOT need anything else at this point.

Okay thank you for helping me out. It just seems I would be better off with bigger bars. In no way did I mean 20+ inch wide bars. Razor Pro it is then! Is that one I can pick up at a local Walmart, or would I have to order one?

i suggest getting an ultra pro, if you plan on taking this up as a sport. get an ultra pro. that's all you need. how tall are you? about 5 foot 5 is about 21 tall. it all depends on your preferances though. but yeah definately ultra pro, except that everywhere is out of stock. i would stick with no more than 18 wide till you get good, i would go with 16 wide. any questions about anything pm me i'll hook you up with links, need help with tricks or whatever im glad to help. :)

Thanks dude! I am about 6 feet tall, and currently my bars are adjusted maybe three inches above the clamp. I cant move them because they are so old. Right now my trick list looks something like this:

Hop about a foot
Barspin
Tailwhip
One footed manuals
Fakies
180s
360 tiretaps
180 bars
180 tailwhips
and little variations like no footers and stuff.

Any suggestions for tricks to learn? AND! Will taller/wider bars help as far as hopping higher and stuff like that?

he is a beginer u piece of ----- he's not lookin to a set up to do backflips and inwards on, so unless hes like bill gates or sumthin hes not gonna wanna spend 80 bucks on one piece bars. also there is no reason to get a rup cuz the headtubes break so next u wanna talk shit u homemade halfpiper son of a bitch check ur facts first
