[French ID] New deck prototype

We've finally received the new deck prototype. It can be folded but it's inspired from our locked folding mechanism so you get no shake at all. The profile is 11cm wide, 3° concave, the angle between the deck and bars is 82.5°. The folding mech is welded on the top of the deck, but also the front edge goes inside the deck and is welded inside too. A 'crook' plate has been welded on the front in order to avoid the scoot to snap because of smith grinds and overcrooks. I'll give more information about the weight and the tests results, but at the moment, two persons tested it and it doesn't feel like heavy. What I say is when i got back to my B, it felt like a toy. The concave stuff and the width make tricks way easier.

The brake system has been changed in order not to have a big weakening hole at the back of the deck. The distance between the wheel and the brake can be ajusted with a M6 allen key. It fits for 100mm and 110mm wheels.

I hope this system will work. Some might ask why we didn't make a fully one piece deck. Well at the moment, it looks like one piece decks are too rigid so you'll break wheels and axles instead of deck. It's kind of hard to explain, but the feeling you get here is that the folding mechanism is quite flexible and it gives you way more pop than a one piece deck. The headtube is a standard JdBug, Muffin, Razor, MS130B headtube so if it gets broken, i'm pretty sure you'll have one in stock.

I asume cause it's been ridden. That brake is a good idea! other than that it looks pretty average. Why the foldy!?!?!??

Mario put that perfectly. Why would anybody that is hard on scooters want a foldy? We want one-piece decks to AVOID the foldy! Brake is a great idea, but other than that, not a fan.

Wouldnt people rather break wheels than have a folding mech that will eventually develope play in it? i know i would. The scooter looks kinda bodged as well, not the kind of inovative product we are now expecting of the scooter industry.

if you would read it thats it says that it is a foldy but its improved to were it doesnt move anymore,, fucking read soemthing for once

We already made a prototype for a one piece deck [check inside scooter] and we're going to make one, this is a standard scooter, not designed for pros but for the average rider who won't bend his knees on flyout when he learns a 360 scooter flip. Well, I also think about them getting tired of breaking B decks all the time. I'm dedicated to this sport since I started riding in 2000 and i saw a lot of evolution, still If you want to deliver a scooter, it has to come unassembled. This scooter is not designed to be folded... Just because there's a hole in the folding mechanism doesn't mean you're supposed to fold it. By the way you're not supposed to believe my test and Antoine's test, we both thought the scooter was pretty good whereas we expected something really heavy. This is the 3rd version of our new deck prototypes and since then, a lot has improved. Be careful with the evolution before testing something. Mario Rocchio said Addict owns us, well i would add Lucky and MGP too... sure they do for high performance and quality products. But would you compare Lucky or Addict to Micro or Razor, when you know Micro tries to sell its new freestyle products everywhere over the world to get kids into scootering and Razor sells Ultra pros at walmart? Don't bring back stupid conflicts between brand, everytime i see a new product, i tell myself: woaa cool, it's developing faster everyday, we're going to be able to organize new contests together!

You guys already have the Muffin for the casual rider... maybe you should work on the "pro" deck like you guys have been saying you would?

Stress point. By having the foldy, it's basically relieving stress on other parts of your scooter, like suspension. Technology has proven, perfectly rigid causes stress fractures... so when designing a part for ANY sport, you need to take this into consideration, without having something that will wobble loose.

We've designed motorsport products and always have to keep this in mind. Too strong/too stiff actually can cause major issues....

So I believe that is what he was explaining as to WHY there's a foldy.

Well the problem with scootering is that there's no "fuse" part and that's what i wanted to do when I told the engineer David Desnoës who designed the folding mech part. It was not a problem to drill one more hole on the folding so you could think it was a foldable scooter, but at the begining, it wasn't supposed to be a 'folding mechanism'. Moreover, stiffness provides you less "pop". I don't know why but i felt like jumping lower with the pro deck i tested which was one piece deck, it felt too rigid . Maybe it was because the deck was a bit heavier...

Fucking know something for once! Headset play. And it probually will move. Two places to bolt it. FAIL! Addicts better.

although scooters dont have "pop'' its a legit looking deck. i want one

edit: was that an addict in the link???? i remember see that video a while ago. that deff didnt look like the scooter you posted.
