District bars are out.

Yeah, i was aware of these being on the market. I'm waiting for the vulture-like district bars. I was however, unaware of the threaded tubing? Where does it say that?

JDBen, I accept and understand your a Dogg fan. That doesnt mean you have to bash on other brands then Swiss or someting.
I know Mark the owner of Skatehut very, very well as we are one of their main scooter products supplier and I talk to him on a daily base.
I know they got over 200 of those ST-1 steel bars less then 6 weeks ago (so NOT months as you say) and I never heared him say that they had one complain on them. They sold almost all of them !
I also happen to know they ordered another 600 pieces bars in steel and aluminium. Sounds strange to me that they would order more when they are as bad as you try to say here.
Oh and they are not stickered but LASER ETCHED !

I would say: rep your sponsor but do not bash on others just because they are not your sponsor or because they are direct competition for your sponsor. Think thats best for everyone and the market.

Thx

oh i know what you mean as to getting facts straight . i dont want drama either.

everything on skater hq is overpriced...I wouldn't pay $112.95 for a pair of bars when I could pay less and get the same, if not better quality somewhere else.

1. It's Swish not Swiss
2. 6 weeks is 1 and a half months so Ben was right to use plural
3. People can bent bars and not complain, because almost every brand of bar has bent or broken for someone at some point, so it isn't a big deal.
4. It's not a big deal that he got a sticker mixed up with laser etching, I'm sure most people assumed the same thing.
5. His sponsor is Doggscooters like mine, it is definitely NOT in direct competition with District, since they are a reseller company, and they're going to be District parts soon.
6. He never even said they were bad, he gave an unbiased, neutral opinion on them, there's nothing wrong with that, I thought that reply was unnecessary

I'm really not trying to start anything, just getting some facts straight, personally I think the bars look really professional and they sound like they should hold up well.

haha dude you're so protective of District/Eagle. Plus i gave a unbiased opinion. If i hear about people breaking parts I wont exactly stay shut about it. Also i didnt even make a reference to Swish Bars, infact people have snapped/bent them, accept im not a pussy to admit it.

I've been running these bars for a few months now and i have not one problem with them.

They hold up good and no the tube isn't threaded.

I personally love these bars, the welds are good and fuzed properly the gussets are just the right size for me no bending and no hitting my hand on them.

overall i like them. Even tho my style is the classic T style of bar without gussets.

Okay official opinion: They look/sound strong but to be brutally honest, those gussets looks really gay. I'm not a fan of punching unnecessary designs into an otherwise strong and clean looking product. Like if the manufacturer/designer thinks they can get away with lightening up the gussets a little, cut one hole out of it, or make it a straight edge. It looks silly IMO.

I know that best for me is to ignore this, and thats what I normally do.
Everybody got their own opinion and thats good but you need to say the right things here.
1) sorry, english isnt my first language
2) its just how you see it, for me 6 weeks are weeks, for you 6 weeks are months....
3) never said bars couldnt break but I just told facts
4) Laser etching or stickering is a BIG difference for me and most people
5) Swish is made by Dogg so its District competition. District is ONLY sold through official retail channels, Swish isnt. In terms of competition its falsh competition (i dont mind btw, just tell facts)
6) I dont agree with that and thats my allowed opinion ( I reffered to past posts from JDBen)

Again do not start something, just ventilate my opinions and facts as I see and know them.

Offcourse we are protective about all our brands that are as our babies. We invested months and months in them, All riders (read: often co-owners of this brands, riders runned!!) spended a lot of effort in the designs, testing and riding.
You do not know but FSP Group started with this brands 1 1/2 year ago to set them up. All that time a lot of people (riders and non-riders) were involved. A small part of them work full time on these brands just to make sure every little part is done excactly right and taken care off.
I never said things cannot break (in general) I just reffered to the facts. And facts is what we see and hear in real and again we didnt see any complain on them till now out of the hundreds of sold bars (be carefull with compearing stuff/brands when some sell only a few and others sell a few 100ths or even 1000ths, its all about the percentage of breaking).
I also didnt tell you compeared District with Swiss but its just a matter of reading all your posts that you do all to promote your sponsor (also I do not say that is not good, I just stick to the facts).
