ECX will be holding a series of 3 scooter contests this year with the first one on Saturday May 15th...

EVENT 1

Where: Newport Skate Park, Newport, DE

When: Saturday May 15th 2010 (confirmed rain date Saturday May 22nd)

Registration starts at 9am

Cost: $20 per rider (Pro Entry $40 includes best trick too) Entry fee includes entry to the park all day and comp.

Divisions: (Judging by the ECX Team)
Beginner 12yrs old and under
Intermediate 13yrs and up NO SPONSORS (local shops ok... no big names)
Pro/Advanced (limited to first 20 riders to sign up)

Over $1,500 in Trophies and Prizes!!!

$300 CASH Prize for 1st Place PRO
$100 CASH Prize for Best Trick PRO

You are on our team so you will be expected to Judge... sorry. It has and will always be our policy not to have "our" riders in "our" contests.


As for the question of sponsorship in Intermediate - No Sponsors means no large company sponsorships like Eagle, DSA, ProRide etc... If you ride for "Bob's Scooter Shop" that is fine. My goal is to really make the Pro division a Pro division. If a company picks you up and equips you for free and pays for your travel and entry fees then you are what I would consider a "Pro" rider. Hopefully that answers your question.

Anyone is permitted to enter Pro if you feel like you have a shot at placing. Bring it on!

Joe Armstrong is one of my Pro riders for Over the Top Scooters , i think he will do very well in this competition .

And mike Ott Scooters and rapstar 360 Energy drinks would both love to sponsor the Newport Competition . email me if you need more sponsors .

Sounds so legit mike, so down for this. Doms is sponsoring <333333 yes. So stoked. And mike you should make a TheRideWire account also, alot more people go on that site so it would produce a better turnout :)
