threadless forks without scs

im getting some threadless forks soon but i can't afford scs.

can i just clamp my bars right above the threadless headset and have it stay and be strong?

If you dont have SCS nothing will work. Nope, Get ICS or HIC. But for HIC you need differant bars.

Silly woman, your fork will fall right out and you will die. You need something to keep the fork in place. Get this strange new invention called a "inverted compression system." It allows you to keep your fork in place by putting a bolt up your forktube and screwing it into a starnut in your bars. You should get that.

use ICS. I use HardLines ICS. Welded in star nut and a thicker bolt. Its going great. scs=gay<3

if it wasnt good it wouldnt be one of the 3 compression systems used.
