stripped thread inside district clamp

okay, i over tightened the top nut on a district double clamp. the bolt is fine, but the hole where it goes is stripped, so only the bottom tightens. my forktube is quite long aswell so it needs both bolts to compress the bars onto the fork. now my wheel keeps going off centre. does anyone know how to restore the thread inside of the clamp?

get another clamp, not a district either, they break a lot, try a brand-x doule clamp, or a razor pro model double clamp is one of the most reliable around!!! ultra pro's are good aswell

Or drill through it and put a longer nut and bolt through it
i did that to a stock single clamp and it works wonders

yeah dude im ridin 2 razor pro double clamps they work fine superr reliable and theyre only $7.50 on inward scooters

the district clamps must be clamped evenly, a few turns on the top a few on the bottom, until its tight, they are a lightweight clamp and work great but you have to take your time on your setup. One was around it is to run two single clamps.
