well i bring my scooter to my dads and i recently raw'd my bars and i showed him and hes like these bars are heavy!, he thinks there made out of steel, i tell him that its made out of chromolly, so he gets a magnet out of his tool box and puts it to the bars and the magnet sticks to the bars, (they were inward bars,) and then i gave him a pair of vultures and they did the same thing. i thought magnets only stick to steel? are these bars made out of steel?

its a high carbon steel, it shouldnt have that much steel infused with it for a magnet to stick though

Chromoly is an alloy made primarily from steel, meaning for all technical purposes it is a type of steel. Therefore it is magnetic.

its a steel alloy. the steel makes it magnetic. whether theyre old or new, steel or chromo, theyre gonna be magnetic

most bars (dunno about inwards, but im sure they are) are 4130 Cromoly STEEL!
