well after the amazing 3 days my spoked eagle lasted me i thought it might be time to steer away from the old faithful eagle, and proto wheels. With not to many choices i turned to lucky hoping for the best, and surprisingly it turned out very,...very well.
Now ive heard alot about the old lucky wheels not being good and, well its true i rode them on a friend of mines scooter and my first reaction was to say "are your bearings broken ?" and he replied "no ? i got them 2 days ago". These were by far one of the slowest wheels i have ever ridden, the speed was comparable to yaks, and although they were slow they still slid. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE WHEELS!!!!!!
Now getting on to the good part, the new lucky wheels. From only one day of riding i can honestly say these are the best wheels i've ever ridden.
the wheels i have are 100mm dark blue full cores but i'm sure all the other wheels are exactly the same.
urethane- although the color range isn't the best "its not how the scooter looks , its how it performs". And in this case they perform beautifully. The speed of these wheels are comparable to proto metal cores which isn't blazing, super extreme, speed racer, fast which gives it allot more control (but there still really fast).the urethane is hard (probably 88a +) and they seriously are the grippiest wheels i've ever ridden not one slip the whole day at a wood park ! After a good 4 hour ride today i seriously see no wear on the wheels and i really dont expect to see alot more
.
core- Just a plain old solid core, i love it . Although most solid core core wheels look the same it has he deeper core ( like old micro metal cores) except with a slightly thicker bearing slot. the bearings have a nice tight feel, there a mix between old protos and eagles a nice medium. i dont foresee any ovalazation happening. These wheels are also considerably light, for all you weight freaks.
overall- At a very reasonable price range (32-37$), these are a GREAT wheel for any type of riding and i highly recommend them even if your worried them not being around long enough. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !!!
lastly, i want to thank lucky for putting the time in to make these wheels, keep it up guys <333
p.s watch out for my review website coming soon !!!!
