Will this work?

I don't know that much about compression, i've got a threadless fork, headset, and bars but i don't have a compression clamp or anything.
If I buy this, is that all I need for my compression to work, if I use a stock MGP triple clamp?

There made for the district fork. Look around (i think Inward Scooters has them) for an ICS kit. That will be all you need.

You could get a shim made and sit it inside your clamp with a compression cap, but then you would only have a single clamp on your bars = fail

If you have a MGP you will also need headset spacers to use SCS, a longer shim to use HIC, ICS is the only one that will work without modification basicly (except for putting a starnut in your bars)

ok bushy let me help u out. u have a thrdless fork, headset right? Tell us what fork, and from that we can decide what compression you can use. You can use ICS which is really cheap and simple and works pretty good if you install in right. You can also use SCS (its similar to ICS) but you would have to cut down your bars 2 inches. OR you may be able to use HIC if your bars are OVERSIZED.

So tell us what fork u have and what bars. Dont mess around with that thing you found on SHQ . its a component to one of the compression systems i just named.

You should always run compression with threadless stuff. If you don't understand threadless, simply stick to threaded to make your life easier and not overwork your brain.
