Do lucky decks hold you back?

i rode a lucky deck for like 5 months and learned like 3 new tricks. i bolted on this old a i had laying around yesterday and now iv'e landed like 3 new tricks. has this happend to anybody else or am i an imbred?

yeah i have the lucky with the headtube and i love it for hang fives and barspins, it was hard getting used to for tailwhips tho
