Hmm. I have mixed opinions.
Dogs and Cats shouldn't be killed for food. BUT, they're also bred to be killed and cooked. It's not like they're going out and killing every cat and dog they see to cook them. Like chickens and cows. Some people are vegetarian because they believe it's animal cruelty. I'm vegetarian. But I'm not like that. The animals are BRED to be killed for food. So it's different than killing people's pets. Either way, it doesn't really pertain to me. I don't eat any meat.

we (humans) domesticated dogs to be human companions, not food. its not just food, most of those dogs were once peoples pets that were stolen from them. and people say its no different than cows and pigs, but do people own cows and pigs as pets? well maybe one of 2 lunatics but no one else. dogs are so much different than livestock.

In my opinion, it's really screwed up to eat dog, IN AMERICA. That's our culture, to own dogs as pets. But the chinese on the other hand, have a very backwards culture. I'm not sure if they still do this but they would kill any new born baby girls if the parents already had a girl. The wanted to limit the amount of girls in families so they could raise boys to be part of the manufacturers working class/military. So really, none of this would ever effect us in any way, because this would never fly in the states.
