So I got my Blunt Smith Bars today, they are currently 19.5" wide and I want them to be at 18, what is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

a saw

actually, i wrapped tape around the edge where i wanted to cut, then took a sharpie to it, then girdled it. then cut it fully. if u dont know what girdled means. look it up. it can kill a tree

I have the exact width i want them at ready and marked, 17.8"... thats the width where It will have room for grips and still be rideable, I think I will try a hacksaw for now

hack saws take so long, if you have a air powered cutting disk it would take like 3 minuets for both sides.

I cut my bars with a hacksaw, both sides in under five minutes.. It's easy as long as you do it right. Also, easiest would be probably a sawzall.

Alright, Im going to try the hacksaw tomorrow, if it doesn't work I think Ill go with that saw blade thing, if i lose a finger Im going to be pissed as fuck though... And im not joking, I probably will fuck up

a good set of pipe cutters will cut them straight im not sure if theyre really ment for chromoly but a hack saw is probably your best bet. just get a cutting jig thing so you cut it straight
