Proto sliders and dyeing.

Alright, so im getting a pair of sliders and im thinking of dyeing them black.

Ive read that using boiling water messes up the glue so I was thinking about boiling the water up and adding in the dye and then let it sit until the water is cold enough to put a finger into it.

Could someoneelse share how they dyed their Proto wheels and how long did the hold up?

it doesnt really do much, ive done many protos and re-dyed them a few times each, nothing happened to them. and you can dye them in cold water.

You just have to leave them in boiling water over night and it should be black i basically started dying scooter wheels well atleast the first to post it on SR

just use cold water and let them sit all night, i dyed my protos in december and the dye is just now barley starting to rub off but the wheels are still perfect.

I tried to dye my sliders (they were ridden so they were yellow-ish) I did all the steps right and even left them in over right and they turned like green o_o

Alright ive done some research and found a dye called Dylon Permanent black which is supposed to be better then RIT and you can use warm tapwater:)

And yeah Proto should add in atleast one more colour on the urethane but fullcore doesn't really matter to me.
