I got myself banned.
i let my mate ride my scooter the other day, he gave it back to me with several flatspots. i can't afford more wheels and couldn't find much help on fixing them. other than riding them out or sanding them down, there's no real quick way to fix one of these. here's a method i used which takes about a minute.

things needed.

Bench Grinder
Elec. Tape
Flatted Wheel
Sharp Edge of some kind.

Basically, pop the bearings out of the wheel and estimate the diameter of the center hole.

then, grab the tape and wrap it around the grinder axle till it's a little bit thicker than the diameter you just guesstimated.

twist the wheel onto the taped section, make sure it's firm, and turn the grinder on.

then, slowly feed the blade towards the wheel with two stable hands.

do this a couple of times, turning the grinder off and checking the flatspot periodically. after about 30 seconds it should be fine.

saved me $20. ultimately it's just a cruddy make-shift lathe.
