Oversized Bars

i need the know the dimensions of the oversized part of bars...

also it would help to know the crossbar(where the grips go onto) , the dimensions of that too...


i need to know asap because im making them tomorrow and im in the proccess of meh new dirt scoot

.058 wall, 1-1/4th inch ID, 1 3/8th inch OD.

bar size is 7/8ths inch. or something close to that

Steel if you want them to last. Aluminum is weak if you're as clueless as you seem to be. No offense should be taken from that, either.

well im not clueless im just trying to find the best method as in i haven't looked very deeply into making bars....

If you don't know what you're doing, I wouldn't suggest making bars. You can go ahead and learn about material selection, welding, design, and whatnot but if you have to ask whether (chromoloy) steel is stronger than (most) aluminum, you're not ready yet.

no..i know that its way stronger and therefore you can use a skinner wall thickness but then again if u have skinier wall thickness then the od will NOT be 1-3/8 but im all set now....im getting some chromoly steel and making oversized bars to put onto my dirt scooter..i willl post pics of the process..plus i will have extra material so i will make more bars and possibly sell some of them...not as in im making a bussiness but just to get rid of the extra metal so stay tuned to see my progress

Chromoly tubing. if you want Alu oversized tubing it's 1-3/8ths OD, 1-1/8ths ID.

Herd from company's they use 4130 chromoly and 7071 t6 aluminum witch is used for Phoenix decks and district bars.
