Hey i was just wondering what the difference was between threadless and threaded forks and headsets. And please don't say "one has a thread and the other doesn't".

Threaded forks need either a threadless or threaded headset where as threadless forks need a threadless headset and a compression kit

Theirs so many more options for threadless not only that its stronger because the thread is a weakspot, and for threadless headsets once again more choice and they are better

opposite for threaded.

I think threadless is the way to go, I'm already sick of riding all Threaded. Locknuts always coming loose and stuff, its happened to all of my scooters/headsets :(. Threadless would also cost more since you also need a compression (SCS or HIC+HICbars)

Nothing wrong with threaded, threadless just seems better and easier to setup. It costs a hell of a lot more though! I've only ever had threaded until I got a hold of a nitro :)

Yeah, It wouldn't work other wise. For example, a "compression" for threaded is the nut which like squeezes the bars and forks together for the headset, If you didn't have a compression system on threadless, you wouldn't be able to ride them or else they will just move around or slide out

A threaded fork with the equivalent strength of a threadless fork will be much heavier.

And suck anyway.

this establishment is ridiculus, I do think this again is another thread of personal opinions from other people that will change your mind of what you actually want.. follow your heart.
oh yeah by the way one has a thread and the other one doesn't.
