SCS and slitted bars

I know you dont need slits on your bars but can u still use bars with slits in them with a SCS

Yes, but you will have to get a piece of tubing that will fit inside the bars so that they cannot compress when the SCS is tightened. An old fork tube will work.

Don't use a threaded fork tube with tape because that will allow flex. Same with wood and pvc. If you have an old threaded fork, though, you can cut the threads off then cut the threadless part of the steerer and use that. But like Edy said, it is weaker and is best if the slit is in the clamp.

Cool. I'm trying a wooden dowel because cutting metal is such a pain with a Dremel or hacksaw.
I got a 1 1/8" wooden rod an cut it longer than the slit by an inch. It was a pain to pound in, but it is a super tight fit and had to restretch my SCS. Inward bars are a little wider than RUP bars I noticed in Outer Diameter terms.
