If you're only going to film riding then I would get the vx. You can always re-use tapes if you're going to film something that doesn't really matter.

t3i there footage is so crisp its amazing. Tapes are a pain in the ass, and VX's break. T3i's bearly brake.
Also, get the t2i, only difference is a lcd thats moveable.

And Filming over the same tape degrades the quality, and also puts wear on your heads.

There is hardly any difference if you're worried about it breaking watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1tTBncIsm8

Just get a battery grip or an extra battery because they run out in about an hour with filming.

T3i for shure
DSLR's are the new videocamera
optic quality can be soooo much better than alot of video cameras, plus its already in a didital format witch is easyer to handle
iv had a T1i, and now i have the 60D
the footy is amazing, and using an L series lens you can make out every little detail in the shot. Its amazing.
Plus you could always take pics with it aswell

hope i helped!!!

or you could buy a digital VIDEO camera...Dslr are meant for photos and if you film with them strictly it can do some serious work on the mirrors. And buying lenses is something to keep in mind.

the only problem i have is i would need the t3i for the flip out screen, and its 900 bucks, where the vx2100 is 500

if you're gonna be filming mostly scootering, get the vx, the only bad part is buying tapes, but its sooo worth it

Be careful with hard drive cameras. If you drop it you're fucked. I dropped mine once and lost like 3 hours of footage cause I hadn't uploaded for months. Most newer ones have a drop sensor thing though and they'll shut off before they hit the ground if dropped.

thanks alot guys, this really meant alot to me, ive decieded to go with the cannon gl2, ive talked to some professionals and they said that or the xl1s are the ones i should go with , and since the xl1s is to hard to carry around by backpack http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cam..._7-30974574.html?tag=contentBody;similarProds, ive decieded to go with the gl2( http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cam..._7-20224838.html?tag=contentBody;similarProds ) for its compactness, and great video quality, again thanks alot !
