I don't know, how about you try it with something safer than fireworks, like an airbag?

Microwaves move the WATER molecules in a very aggressive fashion, this causes heat due to their movement, as fireworks and explosives usually are 100% void of liquid and only contain the black powder/propellant.... Nothing... Have fun with it but absolutely nothing will happen, the powder may solidify if it was packed with water but in all reality you are just waisting your time.

your wrong. microwaves dont just single out water molecules only, they heat up all polarized molecules within what ever object you put in the microwave.

What are polarized molecules?

its complicated but basically its how the molecules share electrons. if there are two charges and a negative charge, like with what you see with water, you have a polar molecule. hydrogen flouride and ammonia are other examples.
