Hey guys, Just doing my honest review on my District v2-i Rory coe sig that i received off rory about 3 months back, And i have to say it's definatelly the best deck i've ever rode.
Now this a completley un-biased review, I'm on district yes, But even before i was on i was loving these decks.
and yeah, My set up looked preety dirty and ugly, but it still feels solid, Everything on that scooter is about 3 months old except for the wheels which are about a week or so.
Set up
Bars - Addicts with District Grips
Wheels - Dual 110mm Rory with district bearings
Deck - District Rory Coe Signature V2-i
Clamp - District
Forks - Distrct
Headset - Distrct
Alright, So ill go on with the deck,
The good
Length and width - This deck is 20.68" in Deck Length and 4.33” in Width. The width helps alot with grinding, feels so much smoother and i feel more balanced compared to past decks i've rode. The length at first was crazy, I came from a Razor pro to then a district v2-i and it felt weird to whip on it, It took no longer then a day or night until i was used to it though, and now by far this is the easiest deck for me to whip on, and whip fast. Also i can't really feel the 3° concave so i can't comment on that.
Weight - 2.98 Lbs or 1.35kg? It's light, Some say too light? but for me it feels perfect, I've never had the problem with it being too light to whip on as some people say. The deck just feels well balanced.
Headtube - The district has a 82.5° headtube angle, This was a massive difference to my razor pro which would of been about 78° or even less? I never checked. But was easy to get used to, It took maybe 3 minutes before i felt the angle feel better then my pro. The decks Headtube is also a intergrated 1-1/8 Headtube which my headset sits firm in, Was really to get my headset in.
Strength - Really strong, I've had mine for over 3 months and it's still going strong. I have a crack near the back wheel on the side going up the deck, but i can't see that breaking the deck at all. I've hit big gaps with this several times, and it's still running strong, Its not banana'd in any form and just seems to last ages. Basically they are cheap, and amazingly strong for the price, My mates ZG deck broke in 1 and a half months which set him back $300 while my district is on 3 months and still going strong and they only cost $130 You do the maths.
The bad?- I don't have too much to say on this. The only thing i've broke on this deck is the Back Axel that came with it, It snapped and threaded, But i blame that on my riding and lack of the dodgy allenkeys haha, The brake also seems to be a tiny bit loose, but nothing major. It still sounds dialed. Also if you hit the deck decently hard on say a whip on the side of a quarter or something alike it can sort of dent the deck, But nothing to bad.
Overall
Perfect, I Recommend this deck to basicly anyone looking for a new deck, Not once have i heard any of my mates say a bad thing about this deck and they all seem to love it, So if you want to save your cash and still have a quality strong deck, i would defiantely say go for a district. v2-i
