actually lots of people use something called money orders or even cashier cheques which can be tracked, and such to ensure full security, you can even ask for his parent's phone number or sumthin

you can mail cash, its just not to smart because it can be stolen out of the mailbox, unlike a check which is what most people send in the mail if theyre dealing with money
