Will threadless forks fit threaded headset with rup bars and clamp?

Im a utter n00b please help me out, i wanna get new threadless forks and was wondering if i could keep the rup headset, bars and clamp, what part would i need to switch

edit- which parts on a rup would you switch next?

no, u would need to get a threadless headset if you have threadless forks, and a compression system, fsa pig is a threadless headset i got mine for 25$ plus 5$ shipping on amazon, it good, its about the same speed as a rup headset but feels a lot smoother.

ics would be your easiest bet. its a bolt that runs up through your fork and threads into a starnut in your bars, the setup costs about 7$

scs is a clamp with a compression built in, too lazy to explain how it works but its about 50-70$ for the new scs clamp.

hic requires you too buy hic oversized bars and an hic kit. a shim slips over the fork and a bolt threads into the startnut placed in the fork. the oversized bars then slide over the fork and shim.

hic is definetely the best, but if you're on a budget go with scs. ics is straight up terrible

it comes loose very often, scs and hic need minimal to no tightening for a while after you install

Use ICS, it's not that bad as long as you put it together properly.
HIC is definately not the best compression, it only takes oversized chromoly bars and has slits on it which weaken the bar. Do we really need TomK's video to tell you it's not the superior?
SCS you can take any type of bar, and there are no slits in the bars.

If you have 60 bucks to blow, i'd get an SCS. It'll last you forever.
If you only have like 10 bucks to blow on a compression, ICS will get you through for a while until you feel it's time to upgrade.

hahahahahh i lol'd at the toms video part, and i looked around, apparantly locktite on ics will keep it tightened and more dialed? is that true

All you do is put a little bit of BLUE locktite on the threads of the bolt, screw it in and BOOM it won't get loose. Make sure it's blue cause if it's red, it's never coming off. Ask rob.

Make sure you get a threadless fork that has a hole on the bottom of the steer tube that will fit the head of the compression bolt. If not, than I would get a Proto ICS Kit with a Billet cap.

I would recommend buying Chromoly forks. They are stronger then aluminum forks and not that much heavier.

if you dont know what compression is chances are you dont need it.
just buy a dsa threaded fork
