Personally, I've ridden all 3 compressions. SCS, HIC, and ICS. But you're just asking for HIC and SCS so...

SCS was fine. I liked it. Didn't really feel the weight at all. At the time my whole setup was district so it added a little weight which is good. SCS was strong, nothing was going to bend or break and everything was perfect except for one thing...I couldn't get it dialed. Recently (early last week) I got some Lucky Pro Bars with HIC and it is perfect. Again, I'm not a weight freak so I don't really care or feel the difference in 'weight' but in performance, it's definitely better. My HIC comes loose every once in a while. Came loose once through the past week and a half and that's it. Extremely easy to go back and tightened. My headset no longer moves back and forth and it keeps my scoot dialed. Overall, I'd definitely go with HIC. It's very cheap, depending on what HIC you get (can range from $8.00-$27.99) and it's light for people who truly care about weight.

...The reason why you couldnt get it dialed and why your headset wobbled is because you need that little black spacer that the scs usually comes with. when i used it my scooter was sooo dialed and i had a district with the bike tube in the brake system.

to me scs seems a little makeshift, but hic is perfect, its dialed and people have problems with their scs and things like having to put a spacer in and such, and also sense the bars are bigger in hic even if the wall thickness is the same its a little stronger, and overall hic just looks a lot cleaner, and its dailed :)

hic =easier ?
scs = stronger
probably about the same weight because hic's bars and tube is morelarger

scs, yes its harder to get dialed, but easy if you know what your doing, i never have to tighten anything ever, i only suggest using hic if you have a strong clamp like a half nuck, i just hate having slits in my bars, hic is easier to put on, but preformance wise, i would deffinitly choose scs

SCS. ive had HIC aswell, and i just stripped it lol. but i find SCS way better. For me, I kinda need a little wight, so i'm actually getting a pair of HIC bars, and cutting off the slit.

Also, with SCS, i never had to stretch it or anything, it just slipped on the fork, and the bars slipped in. Really easy to use. Super dialed aswell.

some forks you have to stretch it, like scorchers and strikers, but with smx's it sides right on
