Blunt IHC fork

I'm kinda confused on their compression.
I was wondering:
Do you need any type of compression (ics, hic, scs) I was thinking no
Do you have to have an integrated deck with an integrated headset?
Also can you just have a standard deck with a sealed headset on it.
I looked at the info on kyriptic pro scooters about it, but it was really confusing. It was saying that its Integrated Headset Compression but you can only use them on threadless sealed headsets, idk. Anyways thanks, just trying to find out more info before i buy them.

it is it's own compression, meaning you need nothing else but what it comes with. it works on any deck, standard or integrated, so long as you have a sealed headset.

The compression is basically HIC but you do not need oversized bars because the fork is undersized. It works by using a special peice in your headset to compensate for the smaller forks, and then you just use a shim and tighten a bolt into the built in starnut. I'm riding these right now and they are amazing, I highly reccomend them.

i had the declare ihc forks and the shim snapped in half after a week. i wouldnt get them if i were you

Where did you purchase the Forks?

I think DSA said something about changing the Shim- not exactly sure that's what they said since we were talking about a couple things when he was showing us the IHC system.

Theoretically you could use it with an unsealed headset, you just put the top race on before the IHC shim. That's kinda shafty though, it's not meant to be that way...
Just get a sealed headset too.
